Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Ελέφαντα

Η 12η Αυγούστου έχει καθιερωθεί ως η Παγκόσμια ημέρα του Ελέφαντα. Ξεκίνησε με πρωτοβουλία της Καναδέζας σκηνοθέτου Πατρίσια Σιμς και του Ιδρύματος Επαναπροώθησης Ελεφάντων, με στόχο να τονιστεί η δεινή θέση στην οποία έχουν περιέλθει τα θηλαστικά.
